Wethersfield, CT 06109
Phone: 860-563-9999
50 Naubuc Ave.
Glastonbury, CT 06033
Phone: 860-633-2521
Regardless of the hour, we are available to serve you 24 hours a day
What to expect:
When you call us we will ask for some basic information about the deceased and a contact number where we will be able to reach you. At this time or shortly after, we will arrange a time to meet with you and your family either in our offices or at your home to go over the options you have regarding the services for the deceased.
Who to contact:
In most cases, including a hospital death, nursing home and out-of-state, you can call us as soon as you are ready. This is especially important in out-of-state deaths because contacting another funeral home where you are at could result in extra charges. If you contact us first, we can make all the necessary arrangements and avoid those extra charges.
When death occurs at home you must contact other authorities. If the deceased was in the hospice program you can simply contact their nurse. If they were not a hospice patient you will need to contact the local police department by dialing 911.
What to bring to the arrangement conference:
We will need some information to complete the necessary documents and the obituary. This information will include the following, where applicable:
- Full name of the deceased
- Date and place of birth
- Address
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name, including maiden name
- Spouse’s name (and maiden name, if applicable)
- Social Security number
- Education
- Last known occupation
- Military record
- Survivors and predeceased family members
- Club/organization memberships
- Hobbies/interests
- Recent photograph of deceased for newspaper, hair and makeup purposes
- Clothing for deceased
Who else to contact:
There are many people who need to be contacted and everyone has their own individual list. We have put together a short list that should help you get thinking about some of the people that you may need to contact.
- Relatives
- Friends
- Employers
- Executor of Estate
